Has anyone seen Francis Buchholz playing a Gibson Explorer bass?

No, but I've seen him with a non-rev 'bird.

Quote from: uwe on September 20, 2017, 01:22:09 PMI once saw an Alembic Exploiter pre-owned by Francis Buchholz up for sale which he supposedly used on a US tour. Haven't found any pictorial evidence though.

He definitely played an Alembic Exploiter around the time of Animal Magnetism.

If he was reared with an Alembic Exploiter, the experience of playing a Gibson Explorer of the 80ies type must have been a shattering one.

But nothing remains hidden forever in this day and age, thanks for the "Animal Magnetism Tour" tip, which helped me find:

And of course he's been no stranger to other Gibsons:

RIPPER

TB REV

TB NON-REV

McEnroe did play guitar. I don't recall any association with Kramer.

But I was wrong about Vitas. Van Halen/Gerulaitis Kramer 5150 Guitar. Eddie must have given it to him at this event.

Cool, I did a quick Google search and didn't see anything, but I knew I'd seen him with it in Circus magazine or something. I see it was a nice Distillate version (most were Spoilers).
