Geez, that shouldn't have been allowed!  Imagine if a stray Russian Satellite had crashed to earth on that site? Or, god forbid, a sinkhole opened up below you guys?

Don't you have any sense of responsibility?

Apparently, we didn't.........................................

I don't mean to be obnoxious, probably just being dense, but - isn't that a Tuxedo on the right in that picture?

I done forgot to scroll over.

Well... AFAIK 1986 4003 Shadows have the thinnest/narrowest neck profile. They are 1 1/2" wide at the nut - like a Jazz bass (A-width in Fender nomenclature), and also very thin front-to-back. My Shadow's pencil neck is thinner than my '77 Fender Jazz.

My '86 4003 MID/BT has the same profile as my ('86) Shadow. My '86 4003s is also more jazzy than beefy.

Bert, what are the measured nut widths on those basses?

My son's July '86 4003S has a baseball bat neck. Thickest Ric neck I've played. Sounds awesome BTW.
