the memorial gig was great, but I just can't stand Paul Rogers and Queen. I understand why John Deacon doesn't play. But that's just my opinion.
The Paul Rogers story.
Last year the Free Forever DVD came out and I was asked to interview one of the members for this magazine I write for. I opted for Andy Fraser, cos he's the bass player. I agreed Andy would call me that wednesday at eight thirty PM. He called and I did the interview.
That friday I was a bit tired after a long week. I had a bit too much red wine, which makes me sleepy so I was in bed at around eleven O'clock. Half an hour later the phone rang and it woke me up. I was too late to pick it up, and I fell asleep again. Half an hour later the telephone rang again and I woke up again. And... too late. I was a bit angry already. My girlfriend went to the toilet, brought the phone and an hour later (like one AM) I was pulled out of my sleep again by the telephone. A bit angry and half asleep I took it.

- Yeah?
- I was supposed to call you for an interview about the DVD.
- I know nothing about that, and Andy Fraser told me everything already.
- Well okay then.
- Bye.
- Bye.

As soon as I hung up, I realised that I acted very rude against Paul Rogers... THE Paul Rogers. Singer of Free, Queen, Bad Company et all. My girlfiend heard it all and she almost died laughing.
Bad mistake!
Later I apologized to the management. Fact is that only Andy would call me and not Rogers in the middle of the night;)
