On the news last night they showed the repair parts Toyota will use, they look like fairly thick metal shims. I wonder if it will really eliminate the problem.

Didn't you notice the 60 cycle hum?

Robert's right, if it came from a pre-HB Tele Bass the bobbin would be gray.

That's a 2000 series -- 2030, I think. I didn't care for them. The ones I played had uncomfortably wide and thick necks. They didn't have the usual Rick sound (or appearance, except for the headstock) and they were bolt-ons, so they never caught on with the Rick faithful.
