Most of the Stone Temple Pilots catalogue. Scott Weilland's prose is .... interesting, to say the least.

The Bass Zone / Re: JPJ Says Zep is ON with or without Plant!
« on: October 29, 2008, 09:17:26 AM »
Wow ..... Zep without Plant gives me the shivers. The only singer I ever would consider as a viable replacement would have been Coverdale. I gotta say, after all this time if it's not going to be the three surviving members, why bother?!? That's not to say I wouldn't go .... I mean, JPJ is a fabulous player as is Page ..... it just really wouldn't be the same.

Bass Amps & Effects / Re: 'Fess up! How many Behringer Amp Users Here?
« on: October 18, 2008, 06:48:35 AM »
The only Behringer gear I've currently got is the rack tuner. Zero complaints on my end and for a company that's known for reverse-engineering, they do it very well. I've owned one of their cabs in the past and found it ...... sterile to say the least - it wasn't around long. However, I actually didn't mind the few heads I tried. I found them easily on a par with Hartke. Oh yeah, IIRC, BFB from BABP used the Europower amp for several years without complaint. He's the ultimate road-dog, like 250+ gigs/year so that's definitely a testament to Behringer.

The Bass Zone / Re: Paul Young and Pino Paladino on live aid 1985

Hey, sorry for the salad toss .... I'm new in these here parts.

Man - Paul Young could SING and Pino was incredible even back then. I remember them on the same bill as Power Station back in the mid-80's. Great seeing some footage again.

Got to agree with you Terr, that's some asinine commentary there. Hey, I figure we're all entitled to our 15 minutes - don't be squawking about how you got there, just be happy you made it!

Here's what I've been up to for the last year or so:

The Rick Hayes Acoustic Trio:

Hooked up with these two characters back in March and I've been having the time of my life! Rick is a native Newfoundlander and can really spin a tale, funny as hell too ....

Ken Workman and the Union:

Good, honest roots-rock/Alt-Country. CD about to drop too!

So THIS is were everyone went! I see alot of familiar names around here .... nice job, whoever put this together. I've not participated in any cyber-bass related activities in quite some time .....

Great catching up with you all ..... I'm going to pull up a chair now and do me some reading.
