Yeah, that's been the Blackhawks' song for around 15 years now, and I'm tired of it. The video on the other hand...  ;D

I still do plenty of pencil and paper when I'm designing flight cases, but not that neat. Final builders' plans are done in Vectorworks.

Gibson Basses / Re: Neodymium EB-0 Pickup.........
« on: February 21, 2024, 08:16:45 AM »
The Stingray uses active NEO Pickups. Not enough info on the 916 website to tell if they are active or passiveā€¦..

Are the pickups themselves actually active, like EMGs? It sounds to me like they're running the pickup through an onboard 18V pre-amp. The 916 pickups only have two wires, and the description of the neo P says "no need for batteries".

Samick makes or made a lot of Ibanez stuff according to my friend who owned a mom and pop store for decades. I've got one of their mini P basses and an acoustic guitar. Fine stuff for the money, that's for sure.

8 string fretless 'bird. That's unique! I remember Sting had an 8 string fretless Hamer Explorer in the early 80s.

I'm kind of curious about this too. The TB+ in my '94 Les Paul, also a pair I bought off eBay, AND the chrome guitar-sized ones on my Fenderbird look exactly like these on the bottom.

Thanks for sharing this Chris. Paul was the first bass player i was really aware of back in the mid/late 70s.

My snowblower is sitting in the shed with two flat tires I never bothered to get fixed before the season.

Ugh, yeah, I've done similar. The only two snows we've had so far were too wet to use the blower for anyway. I've got close to 100' of driveway from the garage to the street.

Wasn't John "Redbird" (sorry, I can never remember his current screen name) into the Gizmotron?

Very cool Rob! Great idea, and it looks very well executed.

Having a mild one here in Chicago. Got some good snow recently, and some brutal low temps, but it's mostly melted and we're having 40 degree days more often than not.
