I thought that I was alone in my love for Point Of Entry.  :)

Growing up with 4 older sisters in the 1960's I was lucky enough to listen to many classic records.  Sgt. Pepper and Magical Mystery Tour were my favorites.  My favorite Stones record was 12 x 5.

Fender Basses / Re: I know they are crappy but isn't she stunning

I bought a used Coronado II Wildwood II bass when I was in high school in 1978 for $218.50.  I was using my G-3 with my band playing through a Peavey Bass head and 215 cab. On a NYE '79 gig I decided to use the Coronado for the show.  Lots of feedback and it probably didn't help that I was using Fender 2200 black nylon strings.  My sister in law's husband had a Candy red one and he made it sound amazing in his band so I'm blaming the player! :)

I love the original Monel Flatwound strings that would come on these.

I saw them in Austin in 1999.  Fantastic show!

A friend of mine had one years ago.  Very cool and rare guitars.

You must be thinking of the L5S.

I haven't weighed it yet but it feels heavier than my 12 pound Kramer 350B aluminum neck bass. :o

Got this one in today from the FedEx guy.  Low 6 digit serial number and a blank plank maple fretless neck!  I'd not seen one before, just the typical lined rosewood board FL models.  This one doesn't even say FL on the headstock.  It has dots on the side where the frets would be ala Rickenbacker.  Still need to do a setup and I want to change the Nylon strings to something I like better.  Possibly TI Jazz Flats in extra long scale.

The Bass Zone / R.I.P. Steve Lang

Not a well known player but one that I definitely noticed back in the late 70's/early 80's.  His Music Man Sting Ray tone on the opening of April Wine's "I Like To Rock" made me seek one out. This was difficult to do back then as they had ceased production of them around 1980.  I did finally find my first Sting Ray Bass, a sunburst '78, in April 1982 for $325 in the Austin American Statesman classifieds section.  :toast:

Sadly Steve passed away February 4th at age 67.

Now Uwe has convinced me that I have to purchase the remix CD.
