I've got the Jones for a white SG for ages but the prices asked for those produced in 2005 and 2006 are in the pipe dream catagory .....

Because you don't want to feel like your playing a g**t*r with four strings. All my bass guitars are shorties but the Musicmaster is too small, it just didn't feel right to me !

Anyway, if you're looking for the 51-P sound in a shortie, the Bach Tele sounds more like my beloved ( ex ) CS 51-P than the Squier Vista Musicmaster.

A Squier Vista Musicmaster ? The 4 pole worked like a charm for my needs. I actually tried out the Vista in same time period as a MIJ Mustang. I found the Mustang a rather faceless instrument and sold it off fairly quickly.

According to Barry, Plonk had 2 H22's, the one with the black PG and one without a PG. So removing the white PG seems much easier to get it right as far as historical accuracy is concerned......

I wrote Standin' On The Corner, it's followed up by Last Hope's Gone which is a Paul Butterfield / Dave Sanborn / Phil Haynie song. Should you wonder: the bass riff on the latter is a Gil Evans rip-off ( The Barbara Song, IIRC )

Sold the amp to a good buddy of mine so sometimes I can still use it when I play in one of his projects ....

This is the one most fondly remembered. Had to sell it off some 25 years ago .......
