The Last Bass Outpost

Wow thanks guys for all the input and advise. Wish I would have been able to get on the internet sooner. Comcast wasn't working! I ended up with the spb3 p bass pickup. It does give me a much better sound then the old stock one but ya still not quite what I was hoping for. A little tweaking on my amp though and its close. I'm gonna try it for a week or so if I find I don't like it I'll sell em and try something else like you all are saying. Does anyone know where I can find sound clips? Thanks again, You all are always such a great help!!!!

Need some help please, I've been wanting a p bass for awhile but just can't find 1 the gets me. So was wondering can I use my non reverse tbird? Its a epie, with the p/j pick ups, can I just buy a new p pick up, thinking 1/4 pounder, n wire it up like a p bass? doing away with the jazz pick up wiring and just leave the pick up in place? Would this give me a p bass sound? And if so, how would I do it? Or am I just wasting my time? Would I be better off buying a p bass? Thanks

Ya it will! played with my sons band last night, all I heard was "turn it down!" 2 guitars and a drummer, wa,wa, wa..... n they say I'm to old. 

Lmao!!! U guys are killing me! and ya buddy I do sooo miss the 80's! Man I'm old. Lol. Ya don't care what it is cause I still can't get over the sound, hate to say it but this thing makes my tbirds sound like dog do.
Ya I'm gonna play it n enjoy it, rats or not.

My neighbor comes over friday, says he's seen me playin guitar and want to know if I want one he found up in his atic, said he forgot all about it tell he was cleaning it out.  I don't know what brand it is, its a copy of a ESP/LTD F modle for sure but holy crap! This thing acts like a active bass, volume knobs, just hardly turn em and wow! Tone knob the same way! And no its not active, I looked. But this bass is twice as loud as any of my others, I think I scored!

Well the old Peavey finally gave up, So I bought a Hartke 3500A and a 210 XL cab, I know some of you don't like Hartke but man does this sound good! got em hooked up with my Madison 410, What a sound.

Hey all thanks for your input, but the old girl gave up the ghost. The guy I took it to tryed to show me what was wrong, all I know is there was alot of loose stuff in there.

Help!! Was practicing tonight and we thought we knocked something loose on the wall, or in it. after looking and checking we figured out it was my amp, somthing is vibrating from the inside of my amp when I play open e string or the 10th through the 12th frets on e string. Its bad and way loud! Its an old Peavey markVIII amp. Any ideas or thoughts on this? Hope it aint going south on me. Thanks.

just got a 210 alumabass cab, copper colored aluminum cones, sounds amazing with my 410 madison! Best of all it was free! Anyone know anything about these things? can't find much on the web, know they are out of buissness. Not sure why, this thing is heavy, built like a tank. and like I said sounds amazing. Any info? Thanks all! And Thanks to pilgrim, for the manual hook up! I needed that. Rahock, Thanks for info on watts, I have an old no name 2x15 cab I'm running it through, its 4 ohms so I should be ok. Ya it has more knobs then I know what to do with right now, I keep the eq flat and just mess with the shelving knobs, get a good deep solid sound, with just enough punch to get your attention. Still trying to learn it though, am sure the eq will help get some better sounds outa all my epi tbirds too. Thanks again all!

Ok all I finally got me an amp! $150.00 bucks, sounds great! shook pictures off the walls upstairs. Lol. Here It is, What do you all think? And uh......... anybody know much about it? I sure don't

Hey just found a acoustic b200h, $119.00 are they any good? how do they compare to the peavey mark VIII? found another 1 of them just trying to talk him down. He wants $275.00 I'm thinking thats alittle high.
