I bought it. I'm pretty sure I am going to refinish my Bachbird at this point anyway so I'm not too concerned about the holes since they will be filled anyway. I am switching out the pickguard too so I will have to fill those holes too.

Have you got the TRC yet?  I'm pretty curious about these...

Geez Eric, I don't know what to say. Congrats or I'm sorry.
It must be really frustrating to know your BaCHbird is there, but you cannot touch it...yet

Congratusorry?  Sorryatations?

Yes, very frustrating.  They say that patience is a virtue, but I say "screw that" (I've never been a very virtuous person)!

My Bluebird showed up at my USA address a few days ago!   8)  If I'm lucky, I might actually get to open the box around March 2010.     Meanwhile, I'll just keep track of all the mods and gig reports you guys are doing and wait...and wait...and wait...

OldManC (with 2), gweimer, gearHed289, mojo hobo, Low End Theorist, Rikkimax, TBird1958, shadowcastaz, hollowbody, chromium, that's 11, maybe angrymatt has his by now, with Hornisse and eshears in progress. Have I missed anyone?

Add Nokturnal, that's 12 received for sure.

Yup, mine was shipped yesterday to my USA address...

...and I'll be in London until at least next March!

Hi Roman.  I've also sent you several e-mails over the past few weeks and I have never received a reply or an invoice.  I'm going to send you an e-mail now from a couple of my different e-mail addresses.  Please please please keep an eye out for my e-mails!

Thank you,
Eric

All is not lost!  I got my invoice for a Sonic Blue Bachbird and sent the wire transfer this morning...keeping my fingers croseed it'll get there (I haven't had much luck with international bank transactions lately).

This is not very encouraging to me, either, since I haven't heard from Roman in a month.  His last e-mail to me was explaining the shipping issues and costs, to which I replied that everything was fine and please send an invoice.  Anyway, I've just e-mailed Roman again (with my fingers crossed) letting him know that I'm still interested.

Spokane to London?! Talk about culture shock!!!!!!!!!    :o

The Okanogan country is beautiful, Washington State is quite remarkable, in that you can go from Rain Forest to Mild wet to Desert and Semi Arid Forest in about 400 miles, to say nothing of the geology - esp on the east side.
Just a pleasant 80 miles from Colville to Spokane.......I need to make a road trip east of the mountains this year, it's been far too long. I'll know I'm in my birthplace because there's a large letter "C" underneath a white cross on one of the hills above town   :)

Yes, the culture shock has been huge!  Then again, that's part of the reason we did it.  I'm sure I'll make it back to Spokane someday, though, which is why I'm having my BaCHbird shipped to the US.  BTW, if you're going to get a new pickguard made from someone local, I'd love to know who you use...

Well,

No manual transmission for me thanks anyway.............But I do like trucks, this one is a 1940 GMC 6x6 that was repatriated from Norway, owned by our singer......
And Eastern Washington does have some rather arid parts, very scenic - you can drive about 2 hours east of rainy Seattle and be in the desert and amongst some fascinating geological locations. Here's a couple links to that part of the state, I was born in a small town in the northeast corner named Colville.

Hey Mark...I lived the 1st 33 years of my life in Spokane, WA (not that far from Colville) before moving to London in November.  I miss it already!

some one sent me this

I really, really hope that Sonic Blue is offered to me.  I suppose, more importantly, I hope that Roman responds to my e-mail...but assuming that happens, I really, really hope that I can get mine in Sonic Blue!

Hey all...I've been on the BaCHBird waiting list for awhile (I think I'm #46 or 47), but I just today discovered this thread!  I'm glad there's a place to discuss this ka-razy project.  I got an e-mail from Roman a couple of days ago.  Unfortunately for me, I may have really confused him as I'm an American currently living in London but I want BaCH to ship to my USA address.  I haven't heard back from Roman, yet...we'll see how this goes!
