Ha Ha!!   I LOVE my EB MM Stingray 5     But AS I startd playing bass in 1970-at 8 yrs old approx  ;) -  I learned on 4 strings & so still today I'm STILL more comfy on a 4 string.

I decided to grab this bass instead of the 70's Jazz.

A Fender Reggie Hamilton Jazz- w/ a Precision pup & a noisless J bridge pup , A hipshot D tuner on E string  'tis a beauty!!!!           ahhh can't atm... Will post pic asap

I like the RED w/ matching headstock.  I tried one instore a while back.  IMO  it was at least as good as the (far more $$$) MIA jazz there.  Good array of sounds from it. Felt good too.  I want one too!!!! ;D

I don't own any Behringer Amps, BUT I DO own a BDDI21 -sans amp copy- & it has been treating me well for a few yrs also.    ;)
U mention the 4500 being the ONE bit of Behr. gear ppl seem to like.... well the EUROPOWER amps seem to be failry well respected in my circles.  A friend's been using the 2400w EP amp for about 5 yrs now & it's never given him a bit of gripe!  Been working tirelessly 2x/week now.   :o

I use a Humphrey Audio Badder Bass Monkey!!!  Its a MODDED Digitech Bad monkey Tube Overdrive.  Can get 'em on US Ebay-approx $90 !!! ;)
I used to use a black Big Muff(russian one) & I still use that for over the top sustain........but the Badder BM Is a BEAUTY!!!!!! Sounds like a tube amp on OD!! My fave thing about it is it's ease of use! Where the Big Muff- you touch the sustain or gain & the volume goes thru the roof, so U gotta compensate for that..... & so on......

The Badder Bass Monkey- turn up gain & U get more OD -NOT VOLUME!!!! Turn up VOLUME & U get more VOLUME!!!!!
It has BASS & TREBLE controls also & U lose NO BASS/bottom end, so for overdrive- like the big muff sounding-ragged & rough, but easy to control & great for tube OD sounds!
ONE flaw-IMO-  with drive(gain) OFF, it still gives a fair bit of OD(not a lot) I'd personally like there to be virtually NONE in the off pos.
Still- a GREAT pedal -especially at the $$$$$  :)

Hi Guys-my 1st post here!!  ;D SO HI ALL!!!  I HAVE heard a few bad things re AVATAR spkr cabs... BUT all in all & with the Number of cabs sold, I don't think it's an out of proportion number of faults.  I've just hears of a couple of the drivers blowing.  ???   could've been due to owner not using properly... so take that as you like! All in all- they sound like a darn good buy!'

Back to OT tho...  A sealed cab- with 2 x 12" spkrs would be pretty similar to the orig. sound. AFAIK the 4x12" Marshall IS a sealed cab -right???? I use sealed cabs-Bergantino NV215 & NV610  with my tube amps & they sound great-but are not much easier to move than the 4x12 & probly no smaller either!  ;D
Bergantino cabs (link-)http://bassgeardirect.com.au/Bergantino%20home.htm     such as the HS210/HS410  are a good mix of vintage & modern sound... thesetwo cabs both/either sound awesome driven by my Ampeg V4BH(100w all tube-a little similar to the Superbass)
