Gibson Basses / Re: Tailpiece update
« on: April 17, 2008, 01:26:46 PM »
Well, DrBassman and I spoke about that option very early on in this project. But the BaCHbird was already in the stage where BaCH had the measurements and technical drawings at the hardware tooler's.
Plus, the price of the tailpieces that DrBassman is making would weigh considerably on the total price of the BacHbird.
Don't get me wrong, I have no doubt they will be worth every penny. And especially if you look at the Ebay prices, I think this is the chance for perfectionists to have a perfect bridge (and upgrade their BaCHbird  ;) )

Oh I think I do remember them, now that I've seen that clip... I think... ::)
But no, they're not an influence.

We are more influenced by Cry Of Love, Doyle Bramhall II, Philip Sayce, AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, UFO, Aretha Franklin, Black Crowes, SRV, Badlands, etc

I'd be tempted to join in too. But only if it doesn't go bezerk.
Now that I think of it, of course it belongs in ze kollekshun

looks like an old project bass, with a stolen neck?
No I don't think so. The neck heel follows the assymetrical shape of the body. It looks original to me.

Interesting nonetheless

The real first warm/sunny day on which you se nice, young and pretty girls with skirts or summer blouses outside. Magical.

This morning I woke up sneezing. And I coudn't stop for two hours straight.
Didn't even manage to make myself a sandwich for breakfast.
Think I used about three boxes of cleenex to wipe the snot out of my face.

That's when I know spring has begun.

Thank you Gary!

you know that none of the band members had even heard of Ginger Baker's Airforce until we read it in the review!
Neither had we ever heard of Stone the Crows or Now Time Delegation...

I used my Gibson Les Paul Bass on all songs.
Except for Soul On Fire, where I used the Greco Thunderbird. And Miss You where I used the modified Epiphone Jack Casady Signature.

If you give me an address for a radio station plus name of a Deejay I can send them a copy.

cheers, Rob
