Welcome Rogier. Nice to see you here too  8)

Already told you so,
but once again: That is a stunning beauty you found!

Sure hope any of the gentlemen here can help you find a good replacement for the bridge pup.

Now, he's got all those strings and still needs someone else to play that simple melody...

The Outpost Cafe / Re: Re-discovering bands you used to like.

In the early nineties up till mid-nineties I was really into the British band Thunder. Especially their second album Laughing At Judgement Day spent a lot of hours in my CD player. I went to a lot of live shows.

But after a while I grew tired of Thunder.

Yesterday I grabbed Laughing At Judgement Day and played it again after many years of neglect.
Man, this is a GREAT album! I'm glad I rediscovered Thunder.

Hey Chris did you forget about that BaCH P that I have?
It's mahogany and you've played it at the Dutch mini-dudefest...

It was on the "Classic albums" special of Motorhead's "Ace of spades" album.

I remember seeing that video.
Philthy Taylor constantly trying to be funny. Quite annoyingly so.
Trying to outwit Lemmy.
A lost battle for Philthy, of course...

Gibson Basses / Mini Thunderbird - Mandobird
« on: August 06, 2008, 04:41:46 AM »
Way back in the Dudepit MkI era someone in the Gibson forum bought an Epi Mandobird for his (then) little son and put on heavy strings.
A mini Thunderbird!

Does anyone of you guys remember this?
And do you know if this works? Does the poor litle neck survive the tension? And what about the tuners?

Beautiful. I like the reverse headstock.
But I'd skip the trussrod cover...

he lost his unique sound. Alas
I totally disagree. Mogg's voice has only gained power IMHO.
His unique tone is definitely still there.

I always thought his voice sounds a bit like John Waite but grittier/gutsier.

Wow! I'm impressed.
Can't wait to hear soundclips!
