Gibson Basses / Re: T bird home brew fun

I fully agree. Make em Korina, so they're different from Gibson and these will KILL!!! I'm hoping to win that t bird pickup cover on ebay and see if I can have a stamp made. I interviewed at a place a while ago that had giant stamping machines. I really do believe that it can be done cost ineffectively.

yes, I agree. Why the hell can't they make a 1964 reverse and 65 non reverse with the chrome and nickel pickups, bridge and BIG headstock??? How about a limited anniversary edition made out of Korina???

Had a 1965 thunderbird bass refinned recently. Got it back today. Looked closely and the guy who did it FILED and Notched my saddles WITHOUT asking me, when I specifically stated  to NOT FILE the saddles. I nearly blew up!!!!! I kept me cool but... :sad:I am in desperate need of 4 saddles for a 60's bird bridge. Nickel preferred but Chrome is ok.

Do it, Tom!!! Do it!!! There's also a 1964 bird on Ebay for $8,000.00 that if I'm not mistaken was on Ebay a few months ago and sold for $4,000.00

Hey brothers, Just a heads up that I am the guy who is bidding on the badly needed NOS Thunderbird pickup cover on Ebay. Plan on sending it to Seymour and have MJ do it up. Another 8 string Non-Reverse in the works. Still need a Hamer 8 string bridge. Baz ;)

Email me pics at jswoquinn@sbcglobal.net. I'll email you pics of both cases and you can pick which one you want both are in really nice shape. But since only one other 4 string unbroken bird with a pink case, I'd love for them to match. Baz

I've got a 76 thunderbird case with blue lining and an early 80's black case with blue interior. I'd settle for a 76 case with pink lining. Anyone got a 76 or fliught case they want to unload? Oh...Thanks for the compliments! I'll send pics of all 3 of my basses when I pickup my unbroken sunburst refin IV from RS Guitarworks in a week or so.

Oh man!!! Calton cases wants a $1,000.00!!!!!

I was thinking of one of these:

Who makes the best one?? I've seen big super over done ones and nice sleek ones. Here's the bass.

Does anyone here in the states know where I can order one of those newer thunderbird cases with the white lining? I got the HOLY GRAIL of basses for me from Chicago Music Exchange and need a new solid case with proper support. Yes, I got the 1965 Pelham bluebird II. It's plays and sounds so nice it's eerie. It almost scares the crap out of me each time I play it. It's so nice. Not a dead note on the neck. I blacklighted it and it's all good. So, as you can imagine my concern. I don't want to buy a flight case yet...or maybe I should???

That white Les Paul bass Looks KILLER. Although if I ever had a Les Paul Bass, I would put one of those ESP LTD Gibson style tune-o-matic bridge and tailpieces on. Just my thoughts.

It's a nice bass, but I believe my associate Tony Babylon had this custom made using Gibson Parts by a great Luthier, but it's not a Gibson Nashville or Kalamazoo. Shh!!
