I use fender flats or labelle black nylon tape wound on my basses, And now I have some DR black beatys on two of them but that's not really my cup op thea. Almost al my bassguitars are shortscales.

I really like the looks of those bassguitar. I have the epi version at home but an old gibson would be really great.

great bass, love the simple design. Don't wait any longer go and get it. I should leave the finish intact I think. Just patch it up so it's playeble en sound great and then leave it that way.

@exiledarchangel the lipstickhumbucker sounds very well in the bass. It's goes low but van sound very twangy. I like it a lot. The variotone switch is not a great succes on a bassguitar I think the differences are to small to be really usefull. It looks colls so I let it stay on.

A rickenbacker 8 string bass, I didn't even know they were ever made. Great. I have an The Asama 8 string bass but I haven't used it once on stage. I currently playing irish folkmusic so that's not de right type of music to play a 8 string in, I guess.

@godofthunder  - the pick up in the musicmaster bass isn't a EB-0 pickup but an telecaster bass pick-up I removed it because I didn't like the sound of it. It now has an GFS lipstick humbuckers, variotone, coil split, fase in out, serial/parallel, and a bypass switch for the variotone.

And I don't like to be cured off my leftyness, leave me that way.

I think you're jealous chris. I quess you don't have the required slippers at home.  ;)

I like the EB pick up more in the neck position than in the middle. For the looks. I don't know if there is a big difference soundwise?
