Mr Trololo seems to be a real decent, and elegant, chap, compared to Ómar who prefers the rude surroundings of the harbours. Don't get his message, though... Tra-la-la-la, and so on...

Does life suck, at times, at least? Well, the time of worries are over. Period! Here's what to do: The Limborock Twist! Improves your life quality! And the singer is, almost, from the country that brought us Bjork! He's from Føroyar, betweem Norway, and Iceland. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxZiPKW26t4&sns=fb

Anyone knows where to get the knobs for the new Embassy? The look just like the vintage ones, and I want to get a set of them.

This is a real surprise, and a sight of one of the oldest videos concerning the T-bird! Ladys, and Gentlemen, let us be introduced to the Firebirds and Thunderbirds nest, with a couple of tunes for every season.

Yes, on both question. Drummer's a lefty - though only with half the body! He takes care of bassdrum, and high-hat, as though he's right-handed! I can't understand it!!!

And, yes, the pickup is the original Artec. It works so good that I can't find a reason to change it. Only upgrading I've done is getting the finger rest on board. And that is only cosmetics...

The neck is nothing but faboulous! Great bass! I'm so glad Basvarken got that deal together! Fantastic work, with the most wonderful end result! Thanks again, Rob!

I really dig the sound built in my Bach T-bird! Last night I took it to the gig with Jukon Speakers. Here's the deep sound of it:

The Bass Zone / Re: Nina Simone bass?
« on: September 03, 2017, 02:45:38 PM »
As far as I've found out, it might be Clint Houston who's playing the bass. The jazz bassist played with Nina Simone in -69. He passed away at the age of almost 54 in -00. What can one say? Smart bass lines! But his bass.... well, maybe it's the Teisco Del Rey EB-200. Sure looks the part. Anyone here tried one out?

The Bass Zone / Nina Simone bass?

So, I got my eyes on this here video. Nina Simone singing Four women. Thing is, this bass player's got a bass I don't recognise. Any one know what the piece is? You'll see it quite clear from 2.52.

The Outpost Cafe / Shake Down Umeå Live
« on: June 23, 2017, 02:21:35 AM »
Last night our band, Shake Down, had a gig at a local pub. Outdoors, and by the Umeå river. This is what it sounded like. The bass i a Gibson Ripper where I changed the pickup and controls to a black T-bird pup. I like the sound. The bass goes through a Fender Dual Showman from around -75. The cabinet is as old as the amp. Hope someone enjoys this: https://www.facebook.com/feriz.zecic/posts/10154794021457183?comment_id=10154794210692183&notif_t=mentions_comment&notif_id=1498209211341714

Thanks, Uwe! You've got good ears!
I just discovered that you can see the bass in the backline, in the first few seconds of the tune. It sure looks more like a Victory than a Bird... Nice sound to it!
