It looks like the Flying-V may have a future as an aircraft.

https://simpleflying.com/flying-v-aircraft/
they've been talking up the blended body design as the future of airliners since I was a kid in the 80s yet Boeing and Airbus still keep churning out traditional bodied new products. if it was as efficient and airworthy as they say, someone would have brought something to market by now

You get very little string movement there and little or no fundamental. Whoever put it there obviously wanted more high end than the neck pickup could put out. That's fine but it would have been better to put it where an EB-3 bridge pickup is.
thanks

Added bridge pickups RIGHT against the bridge are a pet peeve of mine

why is putting them right up against the bridge  wrong?

my all time favourite band.

we've waxed lyrical about Craig Adams but he never used his Tbird until The Mission. I'd forgotten that the sisters  briefly had a T-bird weilder when tony James swapped his space guitar and frightwig for a T-bird and played with them  for one album/tour

Spotted a non-white T'Bird in this one...

in that first song I think that's Joan Jett playing the bird!!
they're a four piece in it and I think its the regular  bass player (Jackie fox?) who's missing and Ms Jett filling in on bass. its all a bit blurry but to me the player looks smaller in relation to the bass and her way of moving looks like Joan
what do you think ?

Part of me thinks that, consciously or subconsciously, Jimmy was trying to make his Les Pauls sound more like Telecasters when he was playing live. His tone was surprisingly thin and surprisingly clean from the Les Pauls.
wonder what about the tele made him avoid it as live guitar

I'm trying to rescue a Epi ET-280, and plan to shoot inverness green onto it - with green head... and a batwing! (head is damaged/hacked)

ooh looking forward to pics of that. my first bass was an et-280, I butchered it when it died on me, both body and neck ended up in projects that I'm happy with but I do feel a pang of remorse every now and then. I have a an ebay search set up for one and I daydream about rescuing  one to atone for my sins. I like the idea of racing stripes on one.

Not totally surprising when you consider how many people "hear" a Les Paul on Zep records when most of the time it's Jimmy Page's Tele.
wow I cant believe I got to this point and did not know that.
I dont think I ever remember seeing him with anything but an LP, is that the mandela effect or did he just use the LP live and tele in the studio?

When I was at the school we had a couple of bass amps but only one guitar amp so by necessity I had to put the rhythm guitar (often me) through an OLD H&H 200W Bass combo, TBH I really quite liked how it sounded.

i've never really been a fan of the SG shape, especially on basses, but with the tele-esque plate and those pickup rings that  looks the mutt's nuts
