Scott!!! I just dropped off my Non-Reverse Korina body and Gibson ripper neck to have it assembled today!!! I'm going for set neck, with one Mike Lull T Bird pickup (unless I can find an Orville), yellow tinted Nitro, Hamer bridge/tailpiece, Schaller tuners. Ebony fingerboard. BLACK PICKGUARD. Those Gibson Necks on Ebay are the EXACT same size as the Warmoths!!! I will ppost pics as soon as progress is started!!!!! SERIOUSLY...DOES ANYBODY HAVE ONE, JUST ONE ORVILLE T BIRD PICKUP LAYING AROUND? I WOULD BE WILLING TO PAY $250.00 FOR IT.

Just got it today!!!!! It's the first version with the red and blue SVT and the SVT II Pro not SVT 2 Pro. I can't believe how good and LOUD my 8 string Non-Reverse sounded!!!! Even at low volume, you can FEEL the bass!!!!

WOW!!! I probably would have done white but that shure Luks Perdy!!! Yes, my wife Alice is famous!!! Hey does anybody have an Orville T bird pickup laying around??? I'm trying to duplicate my Non Rev 8 string by making one with a single pickup. If not, there's Mike Lull.

Ken Smith Rock Masters. Ever since Hugh McFarland (creator of Lakland basses) turned me onto these, I've been using them as often as I can find them. They stay bright a long time. Need to get them to start making 8 string bass sets!!!

Got me a slab of white and I mean white Limba/Korina!!!! 1 7/8" thick x 23" x 15". All I need is one... not two... but one Orville pickup!!!!

Uwe, that 65 Reverse thunderbird was mine. I got it from some dude in New York for $2,000.00 back in '02, had a slight headstock crack repair, played it for a few months, my son was born, needed money. sold it to Scott Silver at Chicago Music Exchange for around $1,600.00 and then he sold it to Kevin Borden at good Guys. Then some how, you got it. So I don't think that was a celebrity owned. Unless you call me, Baz Cooper , a celebrity. I also had that bridge custom made by a CNC guy I worked with for a case of beer. Then had it nickel plated. Look at the bottom. You won't see the 3 holes in the bottom for the mutes. That was a cool bass.

I am back to my old tricks again and making another Non-Reverse Thunderbird 8 string bass. Only this time it's going to be White Korina with a maple neck!!! Anybody know where I can find a 1 piece body blank??? Roughly 1 1/2" x 22" x 15". Thanks!

I was a model maker at a pro design firm here in Chicago and laid off the day before Thanksgiving. Then rehired a few days later as the Maintenance man for way less money. But it's a job. I know how you feel. Hang in there. Try to sell other stuff you have if you can. Don't even know if you would get your money's worth with that bass, even though it looks so nice.
