The Outpost Cafe / Re: The Coverdale controversy continues...

No vanity hair... err... here...  ;)

Seen all those guys (Gramm/Turner/Coverdale) in there heydays...

Takes a lot to get me to go and see bands live these days... lots of s*dd*ng money...  ;D but seriously, only live acts I've seen in the last decade, no, make that double has been Rush (twice), Neil Young, Emmylou Harris, and Steps (the shame...) as a treat for my daughter (the things we do for love...), and technically speaking, that was a canned show...

Richie wears a wig...? surely not...

Mark... that's a wig...? stunned...  :o  :o  :o

Tom... I deeply regret never seeing Foghat, but virtually unknown over here... Kept missing Uriah Heep and Mott, but did see Ian Hunter when he tour  ed with Mick Ronson (with Ronson even covering "Slaughter on 10th Ave...") - there is a live album from that tour knocking about...

Buzz - how you've changed... I see the metricity is still with (out) you... and on the subject of TMI...? When I was finishing off raiding the "Nastie's" site for sounds I wandered into their links - lets just say Veronica really "plumbs the depths"...  ;)

Chris - t's on the way this morning...

Never seen him play anything but... not seen in over 20 and never saw the TT line-up...

Definitely the best I saw was in a steaming hot Marquee Club in 1977...

Anyway, shame on you for not concentrating on the show...  ;)

Sorry Dave, goes to show how little I know of the automotive industry... ;)

Having the "tackle" to take on something this good is one thing, but I'll just stand up here and clearly declare that I do know my limitations...  ;)

"REFINS-R-US", and the odd bit of tweaking - no matter how much I have appalled some folks around here...  ;D

Two schools (12 miles from here) in London are now closed with confirmed cases - my late parents lived in the village where the first two cases in the UK, and my oldest living relative is 2 miles up the road from there...

Our drummer just got back from LA Friday - I kept asking him about any "dodgy burrito stands" he may have visited, as he came back with sympton that I can confirm is something much worse - MAN FLU...!  :o  :o  :o  :o  :o  :o  :o  :o  :o  :o

Dave - just pass out copies of "Hitch-hikers..."

Excuse me waiter, is there a vegetarian special on the menu today, or can you do the salad without the bacon...?  ;D

Bitte...?

Not only the "Bass-Meister", but now Uwe's "Katering Korner"...  ;)

Roshina was happy with what she found when she was in the "Fatherland" - only complaint was being overloaded with Karbs... fun and games we have when travelling abroad (which is why we don't, as a rule) is the "ingredients minefield" - the difficulty I have with going vegan would be cheese, which my daughter has a problem with being in the same room as a nice bit of ripe Stilton...  :puke:

Gary... now THAT is a memory...  8)

I was working in a local bar the night I heard he had passed... stunned... but not surprised, like the day Skynyrd "landed" - the headline in one of the papers read, "those that live by the sword..." Only saw Bon Scott the once - last tour...

Mark... saw the same tour - Hammersmith Odeon - 2nd row...

I consider those albums with Schenker to be just stunning works of R. O. C. K. , but skip "Stranger..." - "Tonka" was a good guitarist (saw him in Lone Star too) but he was not Schenker...

Uwe - Mr Dewar I always rated up there with the best - anyone know the song "What's Happening" from an obscure LP called "Flash Fearless..." which also featured JAE...? an A. W. E. S. O. M. E. vocal work...

As noted elsewhere, I have my own reasons for not having interest in later works...

When Mark mentioned the Aztek, I just had to go look... NASTY...

This came up as a primary link - the worst fifty of all time, by Time mag...

Dave... how did the Goggomobil (sounds like some place in North Wales...!) miss the cut...?

Barkless... You'll find the Pacer on this list... I agree with you re the "Smart" (which my daughter christened the "Dumb" car and the name stuck with us) - they frighten the heck out of me when I see something that "fragile" overtaking me doing more than 80mph...! at that speed there would only be a tragic sudden stop with imo very little chance of survival...

Just one thing wrong - no BMW "Bubble" car...?  :puke:

Ps Mojo... A pink T'bird would just not go with her hair...  ;)

Most suprised to learn that our guitarist wants to drop this into the new set (as discussed last night) and do some more recordings... ;D ;D ;D

Gonna have to plumb "Gorgeous George's" Mudbucker into my T'bird pre refin...

Gonna have to push him into doing Badge...  ;)

Did someone mention squirrell...?  ;D

Hmmm... in this safety conscious world it is not the lack of saferty features, nor the speed... it is the jerk that turns out in front of you, and/or, the sudden and unexpectedd lack of speed...  :o :o :o :o :o

My wife's youngest sister - her partner has a 70's Corvette and my wife made a batch of these for their Xmas cards last year...

Gotta admit a weakness for Stingrays... especially early 60's... or possibly an early Mustang... well out of budget range... I can look on though...

Gave what was left of my toy cars to my daughter, which are back in the loft again...
