If the majority rule... who looks mad in the madhouse...?

... and remember, "No one here gets out alive..."  ;)

err... bassists, and others... we appeared to have wandered from the path... shall we return to the T'bird...?

Good Grief... I just did something "normal", even "rational"... "We're doomed, we're all doomed..." :o  :o  :o

Doc... I have an addictive personality, which is disfunctional at the best of times, not to mention tangential... remember what I did to my RD...! not to mention a soupcon of "lack of time"...

At least she still works... albeit with a little help from my friends...  ;D

Keep up the good work...!

Did I say time...? oops... dead again...  :o

Buttered 'll do Bret, I can always add some salt of my own...  ;)

... and Barkless (John?)... If Uwe changed his handle all sanity would leave this place...  ;D  ;D  ;D

The Bass Zone / Re: Steve Knight~Mountain Man

I guess the "Mountain" LP doesn't really count, as that was a West solo pre Mountain, but called "Mountain"... all very confusing... but Mr Knight certainly added to the sound on the next few... they were blaring out of the ipod today...!

Sidetrack slightly, Terr... biggest disapointment for me was the version of TFAIW that Bruce and West did on one of LW's solo sets some years back... I expected great things, but it all fall flat...

Bret... Craig Frost really made the diference with GFR, but how much of an influence was Todd Rundgren with them on the 2 he produced, much like his work with Meatloaf... keep meaning to check out Govt. Mule, especially with the Allman's link...

Rolls Royce' most embarrasing moment was allowing someone to use the "Spirit" symbol on a real one of these...

... and they have been trying to get hold of it (for destruction purposes) ever since...

I know, and I explained to him how dangerous it was to wander too far into your site...  :o  ;)

Re you and your playin' - now I've listened... none of your band sound like musical slouches, although I think your keys player is not used too much effect; don't know if it is the choice of tracks as she plays well enough when she does, some very good guitar playing is evident! Jackie is a good singer, too...
Great bass work; good sound, too... nothing to be ashamed of... damn...! deepest voice I've ever heard on a girl...!  ease up on the gravel gargles... ;D

Right, that's enough bolstering your ego...  ;D

I dip (musically) into anything I can find, which is cheaper than buying, so I can listen on my road trips for work, which can add up... most of what I have found is great listening... I'm still trawling...

That's defeatist talk Mr Hills...! Buck up there...! non of that mopping around...! I demand that you go out and have a DAMN GOOD TIME...!  ;)

Thanks for that Gary, Not heard the CD, may take a punt on it if I find an ebay cheapie... didn't know about Mott in London this year... Mott was another band I missed... as was Uriah Heep...

Lowend...
Saw Bad Co at Earls Court in '74... :)
Missed GFR at Wembley in '74... I didn't know they existed until '75 when I discovered WAAB and never looked back...
ditto DP2 the first time round...
ditto Chicago (still have the vinyl boxed set live set with the most ridiculously huge poster...) what was Kath's last words...? "Don't worry, it's not loaded"... bummer...
UFO with Schenker in '78 (?) at the Hammy Odeon...  :)
dittto UH
Travers - lucky enough to have seen that line-up twice, both at the Hammersmith Odeon, once supporting Journey, so that must have been '79...? still have a tour shirt somewhere... "Crash and Burn" tour...? Cowling was a stunning bass player... and being a Black Oak fan (there are such people! another band I missed, being in Scotland when they played a couple of shows with Nugent, and back in London when they played in Scotland - had something similar happen with the Skunk Baxter first tour with the Doobies, another miss...) seeing Aldridge was rather cool... I liked Go and Automatic Man, so seeing Thrall was a definite bonus... ;D

Tommy Aldridge played with Gary Moore in the 80's, and played the Marquee club, that was a good night... I think Don Airey was in the line up too... saw GM a few times there... another time featured Ian Paice on drums, a third had Mark Nauseef... never saw Thin Lizzy...

I have somehow missed a stack of British acts, too... missed Nazereth too. Bret...
