Woman finds frog in frozen veggies

And if there's anything worse than finding a frog in your veggies, it's finding only part of the frog.  :o

She should have tried it to see if it was crunchy.

I saw this video posted today at the J-Walk Blog with his comment: "I've never heard of Sandra Lee, but if all of her cooking shows were edited like this, I'd start watching."  8)

Yes indeed.

News from the upper midwest:

Duluth police search for rubber ball fetish burglar

Wienermobile Collides With Home

Freud would probably have a field day with both.

I do hope that the wienermobile driver used protection.

The Bass Zone / String comparison sound clips from Ernie Ball
« on: July 17, 2009, 09:30:30 PM »
Ernie Ball has just come out with its own line of coated strings, and Ed Friedland has put up sound clips comparing coated Slinkys, conventional nickel Slinkys, Stainless Slinkys and Flatwounds, each with fingerstyle, pick and slap. Granted, it's only one brand, but it's a chance to hear the different types of strings all played on the same bass with the same setting.

From a thread at the EB/MM forum, all the samples were recorded on a MM Big Al using the middle pickup in passive mode.

Heard about this? He put the video up 2 days ago and he already has 148,000 views.

The background: http://www.davecarrollmusic.com/story/united-breaks-guitars

I saw another story today that says United is now listening. Nothing like bad publicity to get them moving.

I'll bet it would have sounded better with a nitro finish.  :P

You can always find plenty of delusional overly optimistic sellers on eBay, but this one is hard to top: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220428015439

An early 80s US Bullet with lipstick pickups, a steel nut and a minor bridge mod becomes A TOTALLY UNIQUE CUSTOM ELECTRIC GUITAR!    Hard to believe how much misinformed crap you can cram into one ad.

The Outpost Cafe / Fender's Pidgin German String Marketing Campaign
« on: July 02, 2009, 07:31:31 AM »
With a brilliant marketing concept like this, I'm surprised Fender isn't the world's leading string seller.  ;D

They didn't use enough umlauts.
