I know: it's a shitty movie inspired by an 80's cartoon, but evidently Gibson saw fit to throw some money its way:

I seriously misspelled the word "throw." I suck.

Wouldn't be the first time any manufacturer has paid for product placement-which I'm sure they did. In fact, that's the rule, not the exception.
-
Usually product placement is done for a product the company actually makes. Is this a preview of a Zoot Suit Moderne? Or is Henry J. a secret Jem fan?

Plundering the back catalogue...

Maybe it was a feeler to see if they got any requests. :o

Found it: http://www.rainbowguitars.com/guitar/gibson/zakk-wylde-moderne-of-doom/dsmzpsbf1/gb
This movie is gonna suck so bad and somehow that this is a Zakk Wylde signature only makes it worse!

I think I forgot to hit "Post" yesterday, but a local guy I know has that same guitar. Zoot suit Moderne!

That's a surprise. I figured it was made for the movie.

The body always reminds me of a Cadillac rear end, and I also always think the neck is set at a strange angle in the body.

With that body striping, it does look like an odd angle. The regular solid color and natural finishes don't seem that way to me.
