Title: Spector NS-1?

Has anyone here owned or played one?  If so, I'd welcome your impressions.

The derelict one up on Ebay got me thinking about these again (...and no- I wouldn't touch that particular bass with a ten foot cattle prod)

the only other one I've ever seen was used by Loverboy's bass player, (Scott Smith)? I always thought it was pretty cool.

I think that's where I first became aware of these as well ;D

I kinda like the single pickup and simpler aesthetic (I seem to have a thing for the late 70s, early 80s basses), and was just curious about their sound and how they compare to the later NS-2s in terms of feel, neck profile, etc.

I've always found it interesting that the first Spector player I know of is not really even seen as much of a bass player by many of those who end up playing Spectors. Still though, he was a very early supporter.
