White, TV Yellow and Sea Green, and they are making 5 of each, according to the Pick of the Ricks website.

I thought it looked a bit more like yellowed Blueboy in the pics. Original Sea Greens were brighter colored.
EDIT: officially they are designated Special Green, not Sea Green.

Very cool!
I talked to mr. Hall some weeks ago and he told me they have time and space again to make some special ones, lefties, et etera.
-
You're right, that looks nothing like the sea greens of about 10 years ago.
A Rick in TV Yellow? Why?
$3800? Yikes! Granted, it's a C64, but that's a lot extra for an ugly special color.

And a backward headstock...

Those sure look nice, but for that kind of cash I think I'd lean a little more in this direction.

Apples and Oranges. Through neck vs bolt on for one thing. The original owner of the design vs. an interpretation of a classic for another.

Love the green. Do they use nitro paint?
-
For years it was conversion varnish. They recently started using a UV cured poly of some sort. Ilan?
-
Yes, UV-cured polyester is what they are using since last year.
POTR now have the white ones:

When I have my 4001S-LH refinished in white it'll look just like that.
-
You mean the MMT bass?
-
I have also decided that my 4003S is going to go from JG to white. ;D
-
You mean the MMT bass?
Yep. When the band breaks up I'm getting the bass refinned white. Of course it may be a while, we're in our 20th year, with no sign of slowing down.

Silly question. Of course so it doesn't distort and get all glary when shot in black and white. As if you hadn't known. Dave!
This is the TV Yellow one, clearly, and not a glare in sight! Amazing. Could have sworn it is white, but yet it isn't.

Stunning. The special green one is just delicious. The white one too
I thought this thread was about a computer reissue when I first read the title...

Sure, or it was named TV Yellow after the TV show that Les Paul remembers having for seven years but never actually had at all.
Or because of his 18 month Listerine commercial series that never featured a TV Yellow guitar.
Or maybe it was named after the TV advertising that Gibson never did in the 50s.
-
And now in "TV Yellow" which is unlike Gibson's color of the same name. More like Fender's Canary Yellow.

That's really awful.
-
On the RickResource Forum, John Hall chimed in that he thought the photos that are available aren't an accurate representation of the color and that it is actually more like the Gibson color.
-
I think I'll be sticking with this one....

At first glance I thought the one on the right was light blue, lighter than a Blue Boy. Looking at more photos, you can tell it's green.
Still don't like that "TV Yellow."
