Well, this bass is very impressive. The first time I actually plugged it in since it arrived this week was when I tuned it up last night before our third set (a general mixed rock covers set after our two Stones sets).

The pickup has more output than my 18v Musicman Big Al !  I thought my Darkstar P bass was a P bass on steroids, but this Greco pickup in the P sweet spot is ever more so. Middy like a Thunderbird normally is, but a lot fuller and defined. I sold my last Greco Thunderbird (2 pickup model) around 6 years ago, and now I realise how stupid that was.

I liked it so much that I might even keep the roundwounds on it LOL

It also felt quite bizarre playing a gig without PA support with the master volume of my amp (the Traynor YBA-300) not even at 9 o'clock on the dial.
