These are Grovers, not Schallers, but I wonder if any of the parts would be interchangeable. They came off of a Fender but look quite similar.............

Schaller and Gibson (made by Schaller) show up on the bay at irregular but they do show up. I would simply keep my eye open or an auction. I would think the parts would interchange between these two "marked" brands as long as they were the same type. ditto grover/grover.

at least we know they are Grover Titan 145C's

could your tuners be Gotoh's perhps?

thanks for that.they look quite similar to the 2nd set of grovers there except they dont have the 2 screw holes in the back or the grover script ,schallers maybe?i have found a broken tuner i my parts box - the threaded bit that goes through the headstock looks ok so im going to try combining the parts and see how that goes for this weeks rehearsal.a new set of tuners is probably a damn fine idea though.

I think you're right.

Grovers haven't been made in USA for about 30 years.

Schaller M4S is the tuner, and yes, the capstan/pinion of a Grover Titan will fit in a Schaller M4S.  I know this because I had an M4S with a broken central screw in my Victory Artist and I replaced the capstan/pinion/screw with one from a Grover Titan.  Worked fine.  Eventually I got the right bits from Schaller to fix it though.

I wouldn't buy from that seller because of the type of response he leaves on his negatives and because he now refuses to use the feedback system at all.
