First song I ever heard of Parliament was Sir Nose D'Voidoffunk. The bassline in that song took funky's lunch money! It's so funky it comes with Speed Stick! It's so funky, it'd keep Sly Stone up at night! It's so funky it has its own gold rope and chest hair!
When I was I a kid, there was this show on PBS that Herbie Hancock hosted called RockSchool. Thats where I first saw that clip of Bootsy. Used to watch that show religiously.

I too grew up on the Mothership of Funk. I always liked the song Flash Light even though it was a synth bass. I still think Bootsy's best bass work was with James Brown.
