I herewith distance myself from the contents of this thread - only black is beautiful!

Actually, I like chrome or nickel on some basses (I prefer a chrome mudbucker to a black one in look if not in sound  - variety is the spice of life).

Love the Chrome Lp pickguard.

Looking through these pictures, it's clear to me, Chrome, makes a bass look better, in my opinion, its bling and jewelry for the bass. With Cherry it looks really nice.

The tuning machines were powder-coated Black! I had them chromed ( where is the evil laughter emoticon? )

I remember that. It was huge. I think he had his chrome parts custom sized to capture the sheer enormity of it.

Yes, it's a 90's Limited Ed TB with Gibson pups added to it.  It was George's and he was kind enough to sell it to me awhile back.
