Title: I scored a blonde and a brunette
Post by: Blazer on June 17, 2009, 04:13:31 AM
Well today I went to a shop for the specific reason to buy myself a cheap banger. They had a lot of SX telecasters there and given the fact that I heard a lot of good things about them I figured to give them a try.

But each and every one of them felt ultra cheap to the touch and had a sound to match their feel. And then I spotted a tele on the wall of that shop gathering dust. It was a Saga kit-build thing that somebody assembled and decided to sell. I picked it up and the feel of the neck instantly won me over. 120 bucks later it was mine.

All I need to do now is put on new strings

But that wasn't all because I got this Matsumoku made Hondo Semi by trading it for a couple of surplus bodies.

I don't think you go wrong by getting any Matsumoku product that's in good shape.  They built good instruments.  The kit Tele looks good, but that Hondo looks REALLY nice!
