Title: Worst case of ClownGlo
Post by: ilan on October 21, 2016, 11:16:05 AM
2001 620 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rickenbacker-620FG-2001-Bass-Guitar-RefNo-136585-/192003403201). Okay, not a bass, but they did that to basses too at the time. How that hideous thing has left the factory is beyond me.

I think I remember these. Did some of these even have a bit of pink in them?

"Clownglo" appeared mostly on early ought instruments (e.g. 2003). They tend to look worse in photos than in real life. I've heard it said that some digital cameras have a tough time reproducing reds and can't accurately capture subtleties in the red spectrum - like it thinks that something is totally red or it's not; no shades of red. Certainly "clownglo" happened, but mercifully is a thing of the past.
