I like the song and the bass tone.
The bassist is none other than our old friend Jules of Fly Guitars (EvilLordJuju here). No idea what he's playing in the video but in their live videos he's usually playing a Hobbit.

Cool video, and not just because of the girls
Looks kind of like a Hofner President bass but never seen F holes like that?
Ok, on a second viewing the F holes look like Hofners. I had paused the video on a frame with a shadow that cut off the tops of them. So President or Senator maybe?
-
I'll give this a veiw when I get home!
-
Höfner President.
-
I think you're right.
Incidentally, he was tagged in a FB photo today with what looks like a Gretsch 6071 (https://www.facebook.com/pipmailingdrums/photos/a.517085068484485.1073741836.168439896682339/517084621817863/?type=3&theater). Ilan?

That is probably correct; the 6071, made from '68 to '72 with on pickup and mahogany red finish (gruhn). Not a lot of vintage Gretsch basses to confuse them with, but then again it might be a reissue of some kind - and them I have not the brains to keep track of!

Classy vid... 8)

6071 it is.

I don't think so. The headstock is completely different.
-
That could be an Electromatic series headstock, I think. But it has the white-keyed banjo style tuners, which are not typical of Gretsch.
-
Oh, I think I misunderstood. You were no longer discussing the bass in the video.
Sorry. I'll shut up now :-X ;)
-
Sorry for the confusion! :-[

Nice sounding clip!

Forgot to mention, I messaged Jules, he confirmed it was a President in the video, but he recorded it with his RD Artist.
-
Duh, the magic of a 9 volt battery! 8)
-
Takes more than a battery to get good tone. :P
-
That wasn't my point, I just thought that no one of us probably had an RD Artist - of all basses - in mind when we heard the track first. But I do remember how Jules once mentioned that he could get an excellent vintage sound out of his (then relatively newly acquired) RD of almost mudbuckish quality by rolling off the highs.
-
That's true, I would never have guessed it was an RD Artist.
