Title: Lemmy interview, playing and drinking
Post by: 66Atlas on September 24, 2016, 07:47:47 AM
kind of cool interview with Lemmy a few months before his passing. Talks about Rics, plays a little and of course has a healthy Vodka & OJ.   I didn't know he suffered from diabetes, sounds like his fingers were going numb.

Interesting.  You can see when he plays that he's having some difficulty with his fretting hand.

One of the reasons I quit playing was because I lose nearly all the feeling in my left arm within about 10 minutes of playing.  Some of us go out playing, despite all the obstacles, because it's the only thing we may know, or because it's a passion that sustains us.  Look at what happened with Keith Emerson.

Lemmy had been a diabetic for the longest time. And didn't really adjust his life style to it.

Dancing with the devil in the pale moonlight.  We are all free to live our lives as we choose, but there are usually prices to pay for doing so.

He knew what he was doing and in the end did not die from diabetes so you might as well wonder whether a healthier life would have been worth it.
