Wow that's even more moserite-y now! Super retro. I kinda like it.
That looks really good!I prefer your mod to the original.
Normally I like sunburst and tort but the tort looked bad, looked like a blurry photo of tort. And the guard was thin, and flimsy near the output jack.
The new guard is parchment/black/parchment.
The new guard looks like much better quality material
Nice...How'd you get the old knobs off?
That looks much better to my eyes. Never been a tort fan tho.
When something is fendermolested, it's no cause for celebration. 8)
Looks like a Fender now that somehow got in the hands of Salvador Dali.

Those ARE the old knobs.
I always just leave the bass at the guy's house and pick it up the next day. And I never ask any questions. ;)
Obviously they were removable one way or another. I'd guess he has a specialized tool to remove them. If they were glued, a solvent probably would have melted the knobs.

I never leave home with out it. Tighten pots without removing knobs, or pry up knobs with a matchbook against the guitar's finish. They make fancier screw extractor tools, but this guy works well.
That looks like a handy gadget to have.
looks great Ronn

I wanted to order this but it was a no-go from Stew-Mac with their minimum order policy and shipping costs.
Found it for $12.30 with free shipping on Reverb (https://reverb.com/item/220697-esp-multi-spanner-wrench-guitar-tool-fits-gibson-tune-o-matic-abr-1-nashville)
I managed to snap the shaft out of one of the pots on my SG whilst trying to remove one of the knobs...
Yeah; I've pulled the shaft out of the pot trying to remove a press on knob before. It's the worst.
"Yeah; I've pulled the shaft out of the pot ...".
A certain clumsiness typical of young men and largely due to an over-excited state and/or poor contraception. Usually not well-received.
I assure you I was in anything but an excited state. ... also it's cute that you consider me young; love it, cause I certainly don't feel that way no more.
Don't know your age, Jake, but Uwe's certainly a young whippersnapper afaik...
Uwe is older than me so he is correct if only in a relative way, but to us all he should remain forever rememberred like this: ... hold on just a second...
ah here we go:

... or maybe this, actually ;P :

LOL Just PERFECT!
I remember Uwe posting that first pic. Not sure about the second one, is it one of the monsters Gamera fought?
I'd say it was a pre evolutionary ape from 2001 A Space Odyssey. Old as can be.
Yep; an old 'shop from the Pit days (Uwe used to use 2001 references a lot).
Mein Gott, es ist voller Donnervogel...! (Uwe's office)
Saw that film on the big screen, first time round... probably says a lot about my psyche that I get it... even asked my mum and dad if we could see it again, straight after we came out... needless to say, the answer was no...
"Mein Gott, es ist voller Donnervogel...!"
