The Burst finish is really light on this bass and the value chart is interesting-
QuoteVintage Price Value For 2007 :
1963 - 1965 > $7 500 to $11 500 ( reverse body )
1964 - 1965 > $5 000 to $6 500 ( non reverse body )
1966 - 1969 > $3 000 to $4 500 ( non reverse )
1986 - 1999 > $1 200 to $1 500 ( Reissue )
I know Kevbo always said that Non Reverse & Reverses go for the same price, in the real dealer world. Opinions vary I guess.
Interesting finish, but any auction that seems to intentionally obscure parts of the headstock in Gibson auctions usually has a reason to be suspect.
Agreed, George. Gibson mahogany headstock breakage is so widely known that unless there's a "no breaks, no cracks" statement and/or clear photos, I get suspicious that the seller is hiding something.
Me pointing it out was more for the unique finish & value chart, but thanks for pointing out questionable issues.
