   I got a email from the HOG this morning,  they got in a mapleglo 4003s so I popped in to pick it up. Beautiful bass for sure. Pictures tomorrow!

Beautiful.

And it looks like they've changed the pickguard shape - now back to sharper corners and NO DOUBLE-HUMP! Or is it just camera angle?

I can't weigh it but it is one of the heavier Rics I have owned, certainly not bad.

They do and you can buy it directly from RIC (http://boutique.rickenbacker.com/PICKUP-BASS-HORSESHOE_p_711.html). I have one on my '73 and it's a fantastic pickup.

Baz is talking about the real horseshoe pickup, not the faux horseshoe  they offer now while preventing anyone else from making a real one. I have no doubt RIC would lose if their trademark were contested, but a small shop like Lollar can't afford the cost of litigation.

Wow, that's the first Mapleglo 4003S I've seen...really NICE!!!

As for the Lollar horseshoe, it's been back on the market for a while.

I'm trying to resist getting one of these. I don't need another Rickenbacker but I've wanted a mapleglo 4003s for a while.
