Hi, Guys,
Here are a few covers our band recorded recently with my 2013 Les Paul bass strung with flats going straight into the board. I'm singing lead on "Big River" and "Crying Shame" and our rhythm guitarist, Gerry, sings lead on "Little Sister". I hope you enjoy them!

Sounding good brother!
Precision schmecision, that Les Paul bass gets er done!
Thanks, buddy! Yep, the LPB has a big, thick sound! The sound engineer loved it.
Nice deep round sound!
And great vocals too :toast:
Thank you, sir! I really like the sound of flats on this bass--deep and clear with an emphasis on the fundamental and with plenty of sustain. It would be great for reggae.
enjoyed the tunes, thanks!
Sounds great and a good Johnny voice on your tune too!
Thanks, gents! ;D Glad you liked them!
Finlover, you guys both have excellent voices! Nicely sung by both of you, and the bass lines are clear and beautifully played.
Your rhythm guitarist has that "something extra" in his voice that evokes Johnny Cash to me.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Pilgrim!! You're right about Gerry's voice--it has tons of character. He really made that Elvis song his own. Maybe he should sing Big River instead of me! I like that our two voices are so different from one another--it helps to keep it interesting to the audience, hopefully.
Here's another one with me on vocals again. Not perfect, but good enough for demo purposes I hope.

Very nice...good playing, excellent time.
Thanks, patman! It's one of the only waltzes we do. I always enjoy playing in 3 for a change.
Nice tunes, all four of them! Good singing on them, too. The last, Rose coloured glass, has the kind of singing I wish I could do myself. Real nice! And a big plus for the whole bands handling of instruments. Love it!
WOW--thanks for the compliments, Stjofön!! I'm so lucky to be in a band with four great musicians who are also warm and wonderful people. It's hard for me to listen nonjudgementally to my own vocals. I hear the flaws and think "I could've done that better". But the recording process has made us better as a band by showing us the areas where we need a little fine tuning.
Yehaw! Sounds great! If I weren't playing classic rock I'd be doing CW. Nice job.
Thank you so much, drbassman! I wish I had the voice for classic rock! THAT'S what I grew up with! I'd have to string the LPB with roundwounds though. 8)
