This story is from last fall, I just saw it earlier today. Some of you ought to dig the graphics.

If I got one of these I'd have to trade in my sunglasses for some night vision gear ;D.

That makes a Wishbass look like a work of art...

Dave, your Internet surfing habits are unusual to say the least!

Nah Steve... Wishbass is art, just not bass... Now, that Navy inspired bass... that's the most nuts design bass'd on an existing that I've ever seen...
Fave bit is the switch cover, and maybe the anchor...

Really? A bassist finding an article in an online bass magazine is unusual?  ;)  I just saw the link on my FB timeline and followed it.

To each his own. You're certainly entitled to your opinion.

I've only seen one Wishbass in person and it was even worse that what I had been led to believe after reading about them online. Embarrassingly bad workmanship, a neck so big that no normal human could have played it properly, and hideously ugly to boot.

Doner Designs make military-themed basses like this one to raise funds for nonprofits. Check out their website (http://www.donerdesigns.org/home) if you have the chance. Military themes aren't my cup of tea at all, but the graphics are neat and the basses are made from quality parts and are actually useable as basses.

Nice that it's all linked to good causes... still rate the carrier best... Lovell's presence is a nice touch...

I'm just happy it doesn't have any Hellcats on it, those are easy to mistake and tend to leave people confused.

Nope... just up to my armpits in decorating the place... the Highlands still beckon... ;)

Hold on a minute... Spitfires on carriers would not be the norm... Seafire, more like... ;D
