my first concert as a wee lad. it was great! beatles type craziness ruled the day and eventually the fire marshalls shut it down. you did good, paul.

Sad news.  RIP.  One of my favorite '60s bands.  Mark Lindsay may have had the voice, but Paul was the spirit.

Loved that band, and Revere was a real character!  R.I.P.

Lip-synced, but one of my all-time favorite tunes with a strong bass line:

And check the double-neck on this one from the Ed Sullivan show.  This was a BIG hit!!

there is tons of great american rock and roll that ran along side with the british invasion stuff. this is a good place to start for the novice.

a bunch of these tunes were played on top 40 radio because they were the hits of the day. amazing. this was a favorite of mine.

My favorite Paul Revere song, although this version isn't as dynamic as the original and it's hard to see Paul down in front.

As for the Hullabaloo dancers, well, maybe you just have to be of a certain age to understand.

When I was 13-14 years old and in my first band, we did a bunch of Paul Revere stuff. I loved those guys.
My old buddies, Frigid Pink , toured with them for a bit. Paul always had a coffee cup sitting on the corner of his Vox Continental. It was loaded with scotch ;D.
RIP Paul

Bummer, I loved the band and Paul.  Really knew how to play to, and with, his audience.  My old band played every one of their tunes when I was a kid.  Lots of great memories thanks to Paul and his crew.  RIP.

Loved that tune, Dave...one of my faves too.  And the bass line totally drives that number!

That was Michael Landon as the guest host, too.

Those were great tunes - no wonder those guys were one of the biggest bands in the US.

Nice take.  The differences in that version seem to be in the break and the extra verse at the end.

I noted that about 1:10 there's a nice shot of Fang playing a Hofner bass, and there are a number of shots of that bass later in the video.  He's really known for the Vox Phantom, but he must have used that Hofner a lot.
