Didn't you recently say, I mention him too often?  ;)

Ian Anderson sacked him because he found him to undisciplined for were Jethro Tull was going. I still like This Was, when they were essentially still an electrified blues band. A lot of the later Tull stuff I find mannered and can only enjoy it in small doses.

I liked Wild Turkey too and even some of Paris though Welch's vocals - in a hard rock setting - are an acquired taste.

Fly forever with the mighty Thunderbirds or - if it helps - those Fenders you preferred in the later phases of your life.

I hadn't heard the news yet.  I'm sorry to hear about it.

Yes I did.
He hasn't been very relevant for pop/rock music lately.
But the man passed away yesterday.
May he rest in peace.

Early Tull (Stand Up, Benefit) was some of the music that lured me to bass when I was a kid.

In fact, the sight of Cornick's EB2D on the cover of Benefit got etched into my psyche... and after taking a long break from playing, I was finally able to find/buy one (~2003).  Several years later I saw Jules' interview with Cornick, where he went on about how much he detested that bass

RIP to one of my early influences.

He was a really good player. I used to play through  an old Sunn 2000S of his that my lead guitar player accidently acquired . At that time we played a lot of Tull, and I'm hear to tell you for certain that mojo is not transferable .
Excellent player and a definitely hero of mine. Very Sad .
RIP,
Rick

it's always sad when one of your influences dies. i saw wild turkey and can't remember much about the show other than glenn's unrestrained bass solo.

Man, this is no good. He was always one of my favorite bass players. When done, my NR will look like his, before he added the extra pickup and custom pg.
RIP, Glenn, and thanks for all the great bass riffs.
