I've been on a bit of a semi-hollow body kick lately, and have been looking for specs on the mid-late '60's EB2's. What do the nut width's on these run? Are they narrow (1.5") like a Thunderbird or a Starfire, or are they a bit chunkier like the Midtown? How is the feel up the neck?

I have a '69 EB-2 and a Midtown, the EB-2 is much thinner at the nut.

I measured my '67 EB-2C & '68 EB-2DC. Both were 1.510 at the nut............

I was trying to remember what year the necks changed... must have been '67(?)
My '66 EB-2D has a chunkier neck (in a nice way) and is 1.75" at the nut. Big round C profile. Actually that Hamer I just got has a very similar neck, but it's more of a D profile.
My '68 EB-3 is the skinny, slender 1.5" size.

I think you're correct on the changeover, my '60 and '65 EBOs are 1.75" at the nut, '67 EBO and EB-2 are 1.5" and slimmer profile.

Ditto. The EB-0/3 heel changed to the new style sometime during 1966 and lasted to 1969. So, there are '66 basses with that heel, and I think
the slim neck and narrow nut followed the late '66 - '69 heel. Not sure about the hollowbodies, though.
