This pic just showed up on Gibson's facebook page.

Anybody know if this is a new Thunderbird model?
At first I thought it was a 50th anni., but the pickups don't jive.
How about that finish? Limed Mahogany?
Ok sorry if I got anyone excited but this looks like a TV silver epiphone T-bird. Carry on.
At least it has some CHROME parts on it! :P
Looks like they're pulling parts out of the Epiphone bin tho.
.... and black plastic pup rings on a TBird just seems wrong to me (unless black pups/hardware, then maybe) - looks cheap. Love the finish colour tho.
That Epi has been around for at least a year. Never saw one in person but I liked the pic's I have seen. Hope it has a better finish than the current Epi's in pelham blue.
The finish doesn't look nearly as patchy as the TV Pelham blue ones. I like the elitist look with the pickups and the chrome compliments the finish. This has a bolt on neck according to the Epi website.
Looks like the Epi "LE Custom Shop" from a couple years back. I have one of the white ones with the chrome hardware. I did switch to chrome pickup rings, and it does change the whole vibe of the bass. Must be my inner Jackie Fox... From the pic, it looks as though that one has the "big" Epi neck, which has been supplanted on newer ETBs I've seen with a 1.5" nut width version.
60's spec please! Is that so much to ask??????? Have SD or Lull do the pups. use my bridge and offer a II as well as a IV. It's not that f'ng difficult.

You got it, Thunderbird Brother!
Gibson if you are lurking here you will double your Thunderbird sales(at least) by coming out with a 60's spec Bird. Helllooooooooooooo wake up! P.S. and don't gouge us on the price either.
I won't stop dreaming if you won't Scott.

Chrome rules..................................Black drools!
It is deviant forums like this one here

that corrupt and sicken young (wo)men's minds, and we all here have to live with the lamentable consequences.
Hey gus, your argument is sillly, because the correct answer is NICKEL 4 EVA!
And when did Uwe go goth/emo anyway? ... and why the hell is he reading what appears to be a Canadian model train forum?
I have never made a secret of my Goth penchant, Jake!!! I even bought these guys' current CD!!!

Herr Biersack (what a name, he sure doesn't look like it!) and his fellow mascara-lovers sure did a lot of listening to HIM (the band, not Ritchie Blackmore). Probably too catchy for real Goth lovers and then that heavy metal guitar solo, but I like it. Is this what happens when American youths try to sound Yuropeän?
I think I have more influence on you than I realized ;).

I got your chromey trains..... ;D

The ever enematic holy Zephyr! I now have vivid visions of that chrome torpedo of a train entering, no,
intruding a dark damp tunnel, the glistening metal forcing its way in ...
Parental advice: There is nothing innocent about model trains or the people who collect them.

Unfortunately it does seem to be too difficult for them.

Is this somebody here's bass?
Boy that sure looks good all chromed out!
That does look nice. Chromed TB Plus or something else? You would think he would mention if these were upscale replacements, especially at the asking price.

Nickel, goddammit; NICKEL!! :P :-*
Too bad they didn't put a Badbird bridge under that bridge cover instead of another three pointer.
...and yes, nickel is the way to go.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing about the pups. It really does look great!
