Besides the gold paint....is there anythng different abput this one from a normal Gibson 2000-2013 Tbird?

Or is this just a +$2000 gold paintjob on a $2500 Tbird?

Of course it's different, it has chrome hardware...and that's more like a $3000 paint job on a $1500 bass.  For that price the entire thing should be gold plated.

Looks like the fingerboard is Ebony vs. Rosewood

Thankfully, I do not collect for fins. Maybe I don't need a 26th TBird after all.

Like "You can never have too many TBirds!"?

Depart from me, Mephisto Carlston, depart!!!

It's kind of hard to fathom what makes this special. A neck-thru TBird is a neck-thru TBird, it's not as if its structure were any different to a reg Gibson USA TBird, no neck body tongue that is different as on the Custom Shop LPs which - guitarists tell me at least - is supposed to make a world of a difference in sound.

Ok, there is the chrome bridge, but that looks outright awkward with the teflon TB Plus pups. Whether black or chrome, they should have gone either way fully. "Do or do not, there is no try."

That's why it needs the chromey treatment. Get rid of those black buggers and it'd be right sorted!

Old Man C does make a good point here that Uwe will have rebut gloves on or off.  If you use chrome you must admit if you use teflon you must acquit (go black all the way Jack).

"It has been played for about 10 minutes since purchased in 2004"

That's sad.
