OMG drool!
Yeah, that's the way to sell an Embassy! Let her stretch out on a bed of roses! Show the hidden sex in her! Yeah, man! And, remember: I've got two!! ;D
OH, MY!!
A gawkish instrument, if you ask me, strictly acquired taste!

Them's fightin' words....
Was Epiphone having Fender headstock dreams when that bass was built?
yet another fragile, toy bass from gibson. looks like it should retail for about 69.00 bucks.
It's consoling that someone likes them. 8) The Lord in his infinite wisdom has not graced everyone with too discerning an eyesight. I might even play mine tonight, I don't mind uglies as long as they sound well. This bass does, but don't tell me it's a beauty. The shape wasn't great to begin with and time wasn't kind to it either. "Gawkish" sums it up. But of course I'm happy for every Embassy who finds a loving home - those basses sure need it, cause luv is blind ...

Well, all I can say is that a rusty Rambler, sitting on a nice Vette drivetrain is STILL a Vette at heart. And you get the performance at a fraction of the price. So.....there. 8) 8) 8)
"E" headstock look like it may have had a repair.
Which photo?

No way; the body shape is great - like a more rounded over edges version of an LP JR/Doublecut. I don't care either way for the headstock.
You have sooooo many uglier basses in your kollektion.
It's a F'Ing cool bass...I don't own one...No do I own a Non Reverse Thunderbird anymore...But Both are KILLER basses....I like the old school Tn birds...It did look suspicious in one of the rear photos near the nut.
I'm getting anxious just looking at the way the headstock is wedged into that non-original case.

True, but that is the charm of it!
Looks like the case my RD came in...
Nice looking... imho...
I quite like them, they've got an industrial clunkiness about them that I find quite comforting.
I have no real idea why these basses are so loved here. I find them unappealing to the eye, that's for sure.

They're loved much more for the tone than the look. I don't find them unappealing, though, just not very graceful looking.
I rather like it, but I tend to be attracted to basses with something different in the cosmetics.
Dorky. That's what they are.
You were a jock bully in high school weren't you.... no, wait, I've seen the pictures, nevermind .... though I guess it's ahrd to tell cause everyone looked like a dork in the 70s.
I was dorky myself! I know it when I see it.
Maybe I just identify and empathise with the embassy.
Went for $3 106. Well, that's almost what she's worth. But not nearly! ;D

You mean you're not the Victory type then? :-\ And I always thought you were the not fragile type.
