Title: Fretboard on my 2006 White Thunderbird
Post by: Wilbur88 on September 14, 2012, 03:08:57 AM
I have a strong feeling that the board on my 06 Bird is ebony.  How can I tell for sure?
The serial number checks I've done don't tell me.  It is 02586031.
Thanks.

Weren't they all back then? They went back and forth with ebony and rosewood (before the raid).

The ebony would be either naturally all-black or stained black. The rosewood would be dark brown.

Thanks guys.  It does look black and not like Rosewood at all.  The grain is also completely different - not as open as Rosewood.
