Title: Future Grabber - Norton bass
Post by: Iome on March 23, 2012, 08:55:02 AM
Just when i thought i've seen everything in the bass world, it's even uglier than the railbass: http://www.nortonguitars.com/#mi=2&pt=1&pi=10000&s=1&p=8&a=0&at=0 (http://www.nortonguitars.com/#mi=2&pt=1&pi=10000&s=1&p=8&a=0&at=0)

But hey, you can't discuss taste......

Could have been worse.
Looks kind of industrial. Which is not ugly per se

Controlplate looks clumsy though

I would take that one over any organic-shaped humped single-cut boutique bass any day.

They look like engineering marvels - nothing I would want to play though.  Two things I noticed was that one, you have all of this precisely machined aluminum and yet you bolt a chromed BadAss III bridge on it!?  WTF - sticks out like a whore in church.  How hard would have been to mill a bridge out of all of those recycled beer cans?  It looks like they bolt a standard maple neck on to a huge aluminum center structure - would this not casue tuning issues if the metal expanding or contracted with temperature?

Is that why it looks like it needs a colostomy bag?

Maybe this is the offspring of a Traben bass and one of those all aluminum things :P

It's a supermodel bass, the result of many nights of cocaine and bulimia.

I like it a lot. Looks like a Hayman abducted by aliens and "released again after some evolution-enhancing modifications".
