They don't have the L5500 listed and it was even in production before Leo died IIRC.

It's not supposed be a listing of all G&Ls. This is Greg Gagliano's site. Those listings are all guitars that he owns. Same with the other pages on the site.

Greg's an awesome guy and quite the G&L expert.  He's been collecting data for years for a G&L book.  He's not a fan of the non-MFD G&L models like the LB-100, the L-5500, the Climax guitar, and the Legacy guitar.

Wow, didnt know this existed. I like the feel of G&L basses and the ones I've played have all had very usable sounds to my ears.
Mahogany body with a humbucker, sounds like a great combination to me  8)

Too bad, I really like my LB-100. Why doesn't he like them?

Try www.guitarsbyleo.com (http://www.guitarsbyleo.com)

That's a cool site too. There's a neat section buried somewhere in there which gives production numbers on basses and comments on the various bass pickups but I can never find it.

I think it's just a preference for MFD-equipped G&Ls, and he's more of a guitarist so he hasn't had as many basses.
