Last one and a half year I didn't play the '76 Bird much. I used to take it with me to gigs without a case and I was always worried. Even when I got my case I was bit afraid something bad would happen to it, so I only used it for recordings and I took my SG RI, Burns Shadows and MIM Fender P to gigs.
Last week I decided to take it to a rehearsal and I gigged her again yesterday. And wow! A great sound, it feeld like coming home and I had no problem adapting to it (neck heaviness, ...). I was just very happy playing it again ;D I think I'll take her out more often.
Good to hear Chris. It's funny how that happens from time to time. Rediscovering the greatness of a particular bass. My white Bicentennial is down right the bass in my arsenal. I don't know but I guess it sounds like me. Since it's semi beat up refin I tend not to baby pet it as much as the sunburst one.
Yeah, it's just my bass:) And I always feel invincible with this bass. Like a GI with an M16 at the hip;)
That's my (future) hubby talkin'........ :gay:
The nearer I am to my 'Bird the the happier I am......

Chris are you the one who did not have a case for it and just put it in your car for gigs?

Yes, just on top of the rest of the gear  But at gigs I had a five-guitar-stand and I always put the strap around that stand.
But a year and a half ago someone helped me with a very worn (relic!), but more than capable 70s T-bird case.
Happy 500th post!!!!
Thanx! Didn't realised my last post last night was my 500th. So I'm a hero member now! Don't feel like a hero though after only three hours sleep last night....

It drove me nuts what you were doing to that poor Donnervogel! Time and again history has shown that you sometimes need a little support from us to conduct your lives properly. We're unselfish in that. ;)
Uwe's the Donnervogel-saint who kindly provided me with a 70s case!!
