Tony Babylon convinced Tom to refinish it in the transparent Cherry Red because it was stripped when he bought it a coupla years ago. He had RS Guitar Works do the refin to show that it was never broken. I have a picture somewhere of this bass hangin in the Spary booth next to a white '64 II I had RS refin a few years back. It's amazing how Tom goes through Thunderbirds like we go through toilet paper. I'd love to have it!

RS Guitarworks do a great job on their finishes. I have a "relic'd" Tractor bass from them and the finish is amazing, that thin Nitro layer really helps the bass resonate.  ;D

i guess bidders still don't realise that the reserve will be pretty damn close to the bin price. why do they bother.

Some people put in a bid just to keep track of what happens with an item, even though they don't intend to buy it.

They don't know about the "watch this item" link?

That doesn't tell you when you've been outbid.

I've often found it a good idea to place a bid to stay on top of something that ranks higher on my radar than a simple "watched item".
