That's what I get when I punch the numbers into the UPS estimator. Not Kebo's fault at all, other than the fact that he insists it must go UPS. In my experience, for retail stores with a corporate UPS or Fedex account, even a bass in a hard case would be no more than $250 to ship to Australia. Surely Kebo has a corporate account? I could always open a Shipitto account I suppose.

I think he has and he knows you Bro!

2901.99 winning bid.
Seems like a good deal!
Actually, $2901.99 is not such a good deal - he's had it listed on his website for $2995 for the past 6 months, which means he would have taken an offer for a few hundred less. Looks like a case of bidders getting caught up in the excitement of an auction, where if they did their research first they would have found the bass listed at Kebo's website and made him an offer.
It's a bit like when I list something on eBay with a BIN price, and as soon as the first bidder has bid, the BIN price disappears. 9 times out of 10 the final price ends up being higher than the original BIN price.
yup, that's Henry's bass...or was. I'm pretty sure he traded it back to Kebo for another vintage Fender
Sorry to see Henry let it go, IIRC Kebo ordered the bass from Mike originally. For what it is the price is reasonable, Mike's basses are sweet players!

I misread the selling price I thought it went for 2,100
Have you seen the Lull J basses with the T-Bird pickups?

Here's something I wouldn't mind to have in my "collection" :D

If that's a mahogany body then that would be my idea of a nice stealth Fenderbird...
For right now all I can say is that Mike's working on something pretty cool ;)

That must mean some chrome is involved.
And the word "Bird" ;)

Is there a proper neck thru on the way? I can't imagine him doing all those plys but it could be solid like the '63s...
It involves the letters N and R ;)
Something like this ? (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v102/godofthunder59/2326845380083345702KEjiTE_ph.jpg)
;D
He may beat Gibson to it........And it's far more likely to sound like the original and probably be competetive $$$ wise too.
Bolt on or set neck? :)

That's not a Gibson ;D Made by my own two little hands.
Knowing Mike it'll be bolt on, he uses some inserts around the bolts tho and the joint between the body and neck is tight! I only have this pic of it.

Navy Reserve? Nuclear Reactor? Noise Reduction? I'm stumped. :-X
Wait, I get it: National Rifle (Association). :)
I vote for "Nasty Raptor". :P
Just to clarify - UPS set this price, not Kebo's. UPS had a wild spike in price for about 2 weeks. Sooooo.... We just sent a Tbird down unda for 612.00 heavily insured..
I sent Aussie Mark's disassembled JAEbird to OZ via USPS fully insured for $90. I'll be sending Jimi Jimmi's to the UK for around the same.
