Be fair now. It is sort of shaped like a doublecut Junior. The pickup is undoubtedly from Les' P-bass phase, doesn't everybody know that? Besides, the Ernie Ball strap is easily worth the $230 opening bid.
This looks sort of like a Yamaha, and it reminds me of John Walkenbach's eBay parody (http://j-walk.com/other/todd/ebayparody.htm). Only this one is for real.
It looks a little like a Vantage. I hope there's nobody dumb enough out there to believe the seller... Who am I kidding?
Sort of reminds me of a Cort model that pops up a lot on Ebay. But it also reminds me of those 80's Washburn basses (maybe called Hawks or Eagles?). The Washburns weren't bad basses from what I remember.
I would say it's a Lotus. or a Morris. Korean basses. If we could see the head, I'd guess it looks like a turned-around Gibson head. That's the way these basses looks. I bought one, beautiful cherry red, for $150, on the bay couple of years ago. Through in a '65 T-bird pickup, Badass bridge, Gibson tuners, P-bass knobs. Changed the head into a Gibson style. Looks beautiful, plays good. If it is a Lotus, then it's a neck-through. If it's a Morris, I guess it's a bolt-on.
I've showned it before, on Last Bass. Here it is: http://bassoutpost.com/index.php?topic=220.30
